submissions dept.

Here at Verbosity, we're always on the hunt for good submissions for the magazine. With your help, we can make Verbosity the best 'zine on the Web. At this time, we're taking submissions in a number of areas -- article ideas, fiction, art, or whatever else you feel is worth sharing. Below are a few guidelines to help you on your way to submitting:

Articles...
We're particularly interested in receiving articles from freelance writers. If you would like to write an article for Verbosity, please contact us to present your idea and to receive further details. We will not read unsolicited material. Furthermore, try to make proposals fit in with the general themes of Verbosity, no matter how eclectic they may seem. We like to focus on such topics as entertainment, politics, cyberculture, and the like. However, if you have a perfectly good article about scuba diving, go ahead and give it a try! Lastly, if you submit an article, please keep a copy for yourself. We cannot guarantee that we can return all articles. Submissions may be made in the body of an e-mail or as an attached text or word processor file.

Fiction...
Verbosity occasionally runs a work of fiction here and there in our pages. If you'd like to have us consider one of your short stories, please mail us a copy. Content in the literature may be of any sort -- we are not limiting this section to any scope of topics or themes. However, length should be no longer than four pages, in order to hold the interest of the attention-deficient Web surfers out there. As far as other details for submitting fiction, they are basically the same as for article submissions.

Artwork...

We're also suckers for nice computer graphics. If you design a virtual piece of art, mail it to us. We require submissions to be in either *.gif or *.jpg format. Also, we hold the right to resize the image to fit our needs in layout design.
